5000 plus applications filed for jobs under Balochistan package

QUETTA, Dec 15: Following the announcement of 5,000 jobs under the Aghaz-e-Haqooq Balochistan Package by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for Balochistan, more than 5,000 application forms from different parts of the province have been submitted for these jobs so far.
Government of Balochistan has set up an employment cell at Quetta Officers Club to receive applications from candidates and last date for submission of applications is December 31st.
The jobless graduates are hopeful that they would get jobs if appointments were made on merit.
Some jobless graduates complained that they had come from far- flung areas bearing traveling expenses as there was no facility of submitting forms at district level.
Some sources of Employment Cell seeking anonymity said that more than 5,000 forms from different parts of Balochistan including Quetta had been received so far. However, they said that due to a large number of jobless graduates they were facing problems to submit their forms owing to lack of proper arrangements.
Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani Tuesday afternoon paid a surprise visit to Officers Club to examine Employment Cell along with other provincial minister.
Chief Minister examined the process of submitting forms and heard the complaints of jobless graduates.
Talking to newsmen on the occasion, Chief Minister Balochistan said that these jobs were not merely for Baloch youths rather all unemployed graduates from Gwadar to Zhob and youths hailing from all communities can submit their forms.
However, he said that 5000 thousand jobs were not enough and added that Prime Minister Gilani had assured for creating more vacancies for jobless youth of Balochistan.
“Balochistan has faced injustices and excesses in past but now there will be no more injustice with province”, he added.
He said that after completion of first phase of submitting forms all fake and bogus local- domicile certificates would be thoroughly checked so that no body could politicise this matter.
He said that Balochistan package had different parts including administrative, constitutional and political. “After announcement of constitutional package we will negotiate with disgruntled Baloch brothers”, he said and added that government was making all out efforts to bring all Baloch nationalists into mainstream of national politics.
Provincial Minister Muhammad Younus Mullazai, Minister for Irrigation Sardar Aslam Bezinjo and Chief Secretary Tariq Mehmood Khosa were also present on this occasion.
