Anti-corruption day on December 9

QUETTA, Dec 7: Anti-Corruption Establishment Balochistan will organize different events on December 9th, the World Anti-Corruption Day to create awareness amongst people against menace of corruption in the society.

SSP Anti corruption Balochistan Azam Kakar announced this while addressing a press conference here on Monday.

DSP Jamil Baloch was also present on the occasion.

Azam Kakar said that unfortunately the menace of corruption had caused huge loss to the country.

He said that main objective of celebrating this day was to prepare people for eradication of corruption from society.

He said that people hailing from every segment of life could play an important role in this connection.

Mr Kakar appealed the religious scholars and government servants including  doctors and  engineers to play their due role against this menace. “People should file complaints against corruption in the concerned departments”, he said and assured that after having significant proof Anti Corruption Establishment would take action against accused officials.

On a question, he said that six cases of corruption had been filed in the court recently and added that Anti Corruption Establishment had received 60 cases of corruption this year and investigation were underway regarding Rs 660 million corruptions in B&R department Panjgour and Rs 6 million in Treasury office Khuzdar.
