Cases of missing persons being reviewed on preferred basis: Qazi Fiaz Essa
HUB, Dec 24: The Chief Justice, Balochistan High Court Qazi Fiaz Essa has assured that the cases of missing persons from Balochistan were being reviewed on preferential basis.
Talking to journalists on the inaugural of Lasbela Bar Association, he said that 10 persons have been recovered during the past one month.
Replying to a question, he said that he had ordered registration of FIR of the murder of Akbar Bugti, and has done his part of duty; while it was now upto the administration to arrest those responsible.
Earlier, the Balochistan Chief Justice was welcomed by session judge Rashid Mehmood and other judges and lawyers’ community. A smartly attired police guard presented him with guard of honor, while president Las Bela bar association briefed him about lawyers’ problems.
The Chief Justice, Balochistan, also visited central Gaddani jail, where he was welcomed by jail superintendent, Murtaza Kansi.
The CJ visited various barracks of the jail and discussed the problems of prisoners there; taking strict notice of poor condition of food and other amenities available to inmates.
He also issued on the spot orders for immediate deportation of 30 Afghan nationals imprisoned in Bacha ward and also visited the barracks of female prisoners, where he advised them to appeal to High Court for their cases.
