Cautious welcome from Gazzain

QUETTA: Former Provincial Minister and son of Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri, Mir Gazzain Marri, had termed the speech of the Prime Minister in the Joint Sitting of Parliament as a “Positive Step”.

Talking to the BBC Urdu Service, Mir Gazzain said that he was ready to talk to ‘enemy’ with open mind. He gave the impression that he would be consulting with his other colleagues and friends on this issue before formulating a final opinion.

When the interviewer insisted, Gazzain refused to retract the word ‘enemy’ saying that he was ready to talk with anyone.

Cautiousness in Gazzain’s stance is completely understandable and realistic. Its time we do what is supposed to be done for Baluchistan without any delay and betrayal. Lots of expectations from PPP and this is something one can expect only from them but the thought of Khakis makes one cautious again.

They have done it before. Gazin as a home minister Balochistan in 1992 sold all jobs to Hazzar and Punjabis. They embazzeled all rehabilitation funds recived for the Marri tribe in 1997. Both Herbyar and Gazin recently renewed and recived “green” passport and asking Baloch youths to get fight for independence.

Istead of just killing of few Hajams and labours they are unable to attack a single military and security checkpost in Kolu and Balochistan since 2006.

They were killing Hajaams on behalf and directions of ISI to turn the local Punjabis against local Baloch. This is not a war of freedom. This is a war of personal gain and ego. Who have given Mr. Gazzin this right to negotiate on behalf of Baloch Nation? He is not even popular among his own Marri tribe leave alone the rest of Balochistan. He can negotiate for his stomach but not for Baloch nation.
