College students protest over lack of teachers and facilities

DALBANDIN: A large number of students hailing from Government Inter College Dalbandin on Saturday took out a protest rally demanding government for immediate provision of teachers and other facilities to their college.

The rally led by Chairman Students Action Committee Aftab Baloch and other students, kept marching various roads of the city and assembled outside Dalbandine Press Club where they staged a demonstration.

Students were holding placards and banners bearing different slogans such as “We want education” and “Ensure teachers in the college”.

Addressing to the participants, Aftab Baloch said that Govt. Inter College Dalbandin was sole inter college of Chagai district which had confronted with numerous problems.

He alleged that the high ups of the province were not paying heed towards the miserable condition of college. “We have tried many time to apprise the concerned authorities about the lack of teachers and other facilities but all in vain”, he added.

He claimed that the college lacked regular teachers which was badly affecting career of hundreds of students. “We have to attend classes having no teachers”, he claimed.

He said that besides lack of teachers college was also facing other facilities such as drinking water, electricity and books in library.

He demanded of the government and authorities concerned for taking immediate steps and solve the problem of students so that they could pay their attention on their studies.
