DSP’s residence and bakery attacked in Kalat and Khuzdar

QUETTA, Dec 22: The residence of  a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)  and a bakery shop were attacked with hand grenades in Kalat and Bolan Districts during two separate incidents on Tuesday. However, no loss of life was reported in attacks.

According to reports reaching here, unidentified armed persons hurled a hand grenade at the house of DSP Abdul Baqi in Soorab area of Kalat District and escaped from the site after committing crime.

The hand grenade landed in the courtyard of the house and exploded with a big bang smashing windowpanes of the house.  However, no loss of life was reported in the blast.  On being informed police reached the site and started investigation.

In yet another similar attack, unknown people lobbed a grenade on the bakery shop in Mach area of Bolan District.

According to reports, attackers riding on a motorbike hurled grenade at the shop owned by Abdul Jabbar in Mach town which landed on the roof-top and went off with a huge explosion. Resultantly, it scattered windowpanes of the shop and damaged its roof. Luckily no body got hurt in the blast.

Police and officials rushed to the site soon after the incident and started search in the area.

Previously shop of Abdul Jabbar has been also attacked many times.

No group has claimed the responsibility for the grenade attacks so far.

Police has registered cases of both incidents and started investigation.
