FC deployed in Kohlu, six checkposts stop body search of citizens

fcccQUETTA, Dec 10: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan has been deployed in Kohlu
in place of Army while search has also been stopped at six check posts of FC
in different parts of the province.

According to an official handout issued here Thursday spokesman of FC has
said that these steps were taken under Aghaz-e-Haqooq Balochistan and these
were widely welcomed by the different quarters in Balochistan.

He said that on the directives of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and
Home Department Kohlu cantonment had been given under the control of FC.

Similarly, he said that three more wings of FC would be constituted to
replace army in Sui.

Spokesman of FC said that on the directives of Federal and Provincial
Governments search of people have been stopped at five check posts including
Shela Bagh, Sheikwasil, Dera Allayar, Gwal and Lehri.

However, he said that FC in provincial capital and some other districts
would continue its services to maintain law and order till further
directives of provincial government.

It may be mentioned that due to deteriorating law and order situation in
Quetta and some other districts provincial government had deployed Frontier
Corps to maintain peace.
