Joint session on Balochistan on 7th

Islamabad, Dec 2: —Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan says joint session of Senate and National Assembly has been summoned on December 7 to discuss the Balochistan package. He said the implementation of Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balo-chistan” package has begun adding a road map for Balochistan province will be finalized in the meeting of the Balochisan Committee headed by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on December 3.
The Balochistan Committee meeting will be attended by the parliamentarians, bureaucrats and leaders of Pakistan People’s Party. Dr. Babar Awan said the government of PPP will end the sense of deprivation from Balochistan province. He said list of defaulters of billions of rupees has been presented in Parliament.
Replying to a question about NRO, the Federal Minister said the issue is in the court. He said lists of 30 major banks and financial institutions whose debts had been written-off from 1985 to 1993 and from 1999 to 2003 have been presented in the parliament.
He however, denied stating the names of these organizations but said National Bank got maximum debts relaxation. Dr Babar said that advertisements for appointment of 5,000 graduates from Balochistan province have been issued for publication, adding, it will be in addition to the prescribed job quota for the province.
