Man kills sister for ‘honour’

QUETTA, Dec 23: Police arrested a man accused of killing his sister in the name of ‘honour’ in Lasbela district.

According to details, Kasu, 40, resident of Daam coastal area of Lasbela district killed his 25-year-old sister, Gul Sana d/o Dawood, after hitting her on the head with an iron rod.

Windar police raided Daam village and arrested the accused. During investigation, Kasu confessed to his crime and said he killed his sister on the night between December 18 and 19, after seeing her with a man named Qayyum alias Qayam in an “objectionable condition”. However, Qayyum succeeded in escaping from the scene.

Police also recovered the weapon used in the crime. Further investigations are underway.
