Probe demanded into mishap of CJ’s caravan

QUETTA, Dec 2: Vice President of Supreme Court Bar Association Amanullah Kanrani has demanded a probe into mishap with caravan of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry by a national commission.

Addressing a Press conference here Wednesday, he said traffic incident with the caravan of Chief Justice of Pakistan has generated speculations and triggered several doubts. Therefore, the whole nation must take the event seriously.

He demanded the constitution of a national commission to investigate the said incident. If any one had any ulterior motive, he said, they should be exposed and brought to justice. “People have their eyes fixed on the judiciary and they have high expectations from it,” he said.

Kanrani also demanded the setting up a High Court Circuit Bench in Dera Allah saying that most of the cases were registered from that area after Quetta city.

He said Parliament would discuss Balochistan package on December 4. The issue should also discuss and if any constitutional amendments are needed then the government should not hesitate in making amendments in the constitution to please Balochistan.
