Railway track blown up in Quetta

QUETTA, Dec 2: Unknown people blew up the rail track linking Quetta with other parts of the country in Sariab area of provincial capital, Quetta, on Wednesday evening, the railway authorities confirmed.

Officials said that unknown persons had placed explosive on rail track in Sariab area which blew up one feet long piece of the track, cutting off the rail link temporarily between Quetta and rest of the country. However, the rail schedule was not affected due to damage of track as the train service from Quetta is already suspended due to law and order situation for long.

The railway technical staff has been sent to repair the track for early morning train service. No group has accepted responsibility for blowing up the railway track.
