Wolves devour 66 sheep in Kalat

QUETTA: A wolves’ couple had devoured 66 sheep of a farmer in Khaddi area in Kalat during past somedays.

Ameer Bukhsh,a resident of Khaddi area in Kalat, has submitted an application to the district administration, seeking financial assistance from the government as the repeated attack on his cattle herd had rendered him meanless to earn livelihood for his family

In his application submitted to the District Coordination Officer, he maintained that his sheep herd was frequently attacked by two wild wolves during the past many days killing all the herd It is worth mentioning that in past, leopards were found in Kalat forests and at hilltops but later they were vanished due to indiscriminate hunting. However, wolves are still found in Kalat, Ziarat, Chaman, Zhob and Shirani areas.
