Attack on NATO container injures one citizen

KILA ABDULLAH, Jan 27: One man was wounded in an armed attack on NATO container near Kila Abdullah on Wednesday, while an oil tanker escaped a bomb blast near Lakpass area.
As per reports reaching here, a container carrying supplies for NATO forces deployed in Afghanistan was heading towards its destination when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing on it near Kila Abdullah. Due to intense firing a person identified as Muhammad Ali sustained bullet injuries and rushed to hospital for medical aid. Firing also caused damages to the vehicle.
In yet another incident, an oil tanker carrying thousands of liter fuel for NATO forces in Afghanistan escaped a roadside bomb near Lakpass, some 20 kilometers away from Quetta.
Unidentified people had planted an explosive device on the road that exploded when a tanker was passing through the area. However, no loss of life and damage to tanker was occurred.
Police has registered cases of both incidents and started investigation.
