Balochistan Assembly reposes trust in President Zardari

QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly (BA) on Monday expressed full confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and appreciated his efforts for playing a key role in brining out a new consensus formula on the National Finance Commission (NFC) award among the center and the provinces.

As the 14th session of Balochistan’s provincial assembly met here on Monday with Deputy Speaker Mathiullah Agha in chair, Sadiq Umrani, the parliamentary leader of the Pakistan People’s Party, presented a bill on the floor of the house to express full confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari which was endorsed by all members of the house.

The unanimous resolution admired the role of President Asif Ali Zardari in resolving outstanding problems of Balochistan and other provinces of the country by demonstrating foresightedness and political wisdom. The presentation of the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan and the recent breakthrough on the National Finance Commission between the Center and the four provinces materialized due to the efforts of president Zardari.

“We express our full confidence in the leadership of President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari for continuously striving to pull the country out of numerous internal and external challenges… He is the symbol of unity of the federation as well as the co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, which is, no doubt, the largest political force of the country,” said the resolution.
