Balochistans eye hospital deprived of surgeon

QUETTA: An only government eye hospital of Balochistan “Helper Eye Hospital” is being run without any eye surgeon after five professor eye specialists had gotten retirement in 2009.

According to the details, no medical operation could be carried out in the eye hospital since December 2009 after the retirement of eye specialist. Earlier, about 300 patients in winter season and 500 in summer season had been visited the hospital on daily bases for medical treatment or for undergoing eye operation.

The citizens have appealed to higher authorities of the government to ensure appointment of eye specialist at the hospital as early as possible so that patients could avail the facility.
