Eight people killed in two separate incidents in coalmines

QUETTA, Jan 12: Eight persons including a former Naib Nazim have been killed in two separate incidents in mines in Lasbela and Quetta districts of Balochistan on Tuesday.

Official sources said that four miners and a former Naib Nazim of Union Council of Lasbela area identified as Asghar Jamali died due to land sliding in the mine.

Bodies of all deceased have been retrieved from the mine.

In yet another incident, three other miners were killed and two others sustained injuries in another incident as a coal mine caved in suddenly in Spin Karez area of Quetta.

Deceased and injured miners belong to Swat.

The names of miners who lost their lives in the coalmine have been identified as Gul Rahim, Qadir Khan and Umarzada.
