Gas pipeline blown up in Quetta

QUETTA, Jan 7: A 6- inch gas pipeline was blown up in provincial capital within the jurisdiction of Shalkot police station on night between Wednesday and Thursday.

According to details, unidentified people had fitted an explosive device with a 6-inch gas pipeline near Raisani bridge of Shalkot area. The device exploded with a big bang suspending gas supply to different areas of Quetta City.

Officials of SSGC said that the repair work of damaged pipeline has been started and gas supply to the affected areas would be resorted soon.
