Hospital staff association demands release of kidnapped employee
QUETTA, Jan 16: Staff Association of Sheik Khalifa Bin Zahid Federal Hospital has demanded of the government for early recovery of Abdul Ghayas Baloch who was kidnapped by unknown persons from Quetta few days back.
Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club on Saturday, Shahid Raza Lehri, Chief Organizer of association flanked by relatives of missing person, said that Abdul Ghayas Baloch was an employee of Sheik Zahid Hospital and was kidnapped by armed men on January 13, when he was getting out from the hospital.
He said that since his abduction, they were completely unaware about his whereabouts which had spread a panic amongst staff of hospital.
Responding to a question, Shahid Raza alleged that incidents of forced disappearances allegedly by government agencies were occurring every day in Balochistan and his abduction by government agencies could not be ruled out.
He said that Abdul Ghayas neither had any enmity with any body nor he was a political worker adding that FIR of his missing had been registered but so far no progress was made for his recovery.
He demanded of the government and Chief Justice of Pakistan for taking immediate notice of his abduction so that Abdul Ghayass could be recovered. He feared that if he was not recovered earlier, his life would be in danger.
Earlier, employees of Sheik Zahid Hospital staged a protest demonstration in front of Quetta Press Club holding placards and banners inscribed with different demands.
They were demanding for immediate recovery of Abdul Ghayas Baloch.
