Nazeem oppose appointment of administrators in Balochistan
QUETTA, Jan 14: A big protest rally was taken in Quetta on Thursday against the decision of government to appoint administrators to replace nazmeen in Balochistan.
Former Chairman of National Reconstruction Bureau (NRB) Danial Aziz, President Locals Council Association Yousaf Ayub and President Local Council Association Sindh Nasir Shah had specially arrived Quetta to attend the rally for expressing solidarity with nazimeen and councilors of Balochistan.
A large number nazimeen and councilors from Quetta and other parts of Balochistan participated the rally which was led by Danial Aziz and Nazim City District Government Quetta Mir Maqbool Lehri.
Participants of rally shouting slogans in favour of their demands and marched through various roads of the city and rally changed into a demonstration after reaching outside Quetta Press Club.
Addressing on the occasion, Danial Aziz, Syed Nasir Shah, Mir Maqbool Lehri and others strongly opposed the decision of Balochistan Assembly for appointment of administrators.
They said that Bureaucracy was hatching conspiracies against basic democracy in the country and added that they were using elected representatives for this purpose.
They said that around fifty thousand people were affiliated with Local Government and they would not allow government to abolish it as it was solving problems of people at their doorsteps.
Speakers said that Balochistan government had sought one year period for conducting elections which was evident that government was not serious with the system.
They claimed that initially Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam was against appointment of administrators but after a bargaining with government it changed its stance which was a condemnable act.
