Notification issued for separation of Women Dept from Social Welfare Dept

QUETTA: The Provincial government has issued notification of separation of Women Development Department from Social Welfare Department.

APP learnt on Thursday that now Women Development Department would have its own secretariat and staff. Earlier, joint secretariat and staff for the two departments had created some problems.

It was learnt that Provincial Minister for Women Development Ghazala Gola had played a vital role in the separation. She was also working on agenda to arrange collective marriage ceremonies, establishment of Darul Amaan and a hostel for working women. It may be mentioned that PC-1 is in final process for establishing Women Vocational Center in every district of the province.
