Rockets fired at Governor’s House in Quetta
QUETTA, Jan 05: Two people including patient sustained injuries when two rocket shells landed on Civil Hospital Quetta and Governor House on Tuesday night.
According to police, unidentified people had fired two rockets from unknown location. One of the rockets landed in the lawns of Governor’s House but could not explode.
Bomb Disposal Squad defused the rocket.
Second rocket fell on Civil Hospital and hit the wall of Nephrology Ward and exploded with a big bang. As a result, one patient identified as Qari Muhammad Afzal and another person received injuries in blast.
Explosion due to rocket attack spread fear and panic amongst the patients and other people.
Patients in Nephrology Ward were shifted to other ward and the injured were provided medical treatment. Rocket attack also damaged wall and scattered the windowpanes of ward.
Hospital sources said that condition of injured is out of danger.
Soon after the blast police and bomb disposal squad reached the site.
No group has accepted responsibility for the attack so far.
Police has registered a case and started further investigation.
