QUETTA, Jan15: Balochistan Assembly (BA) on Friday approved Balochistan Judicial Academy Bill 2010 while deferred a joint resolution till arrival of Chief Minister.
Session of assembly met in Quetta with speaker Aslam Bhootani in the chair.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) parliamentary leader Sadiq Umrani presented Balochistan Judicial Academy Bill 2010 in the house on behalf of Minister for Services and General Administration Sardar Sanaullah Zehri. The house adopted it unanimously when the chair put it for vote.
A resolution was jointly tabled by three members including Mir Asad Baloch, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhel and Mir Zahoor Hussain Khan Khosa asked provincial government for early completion of construction work which is pending on different roads under form to market Project.
Speaking on the admissibility of resolution Zahoor Hussain Khosa said that if construction work was not completed soon provincial government would have to bear all burden.
Legislators including Sultan Tareen, Habib-ur Rehman Muhammad Hassani, and Agha Irfan Karim supported the resolution and demanded that matter of delay in construction of Nagh, Washuk, Panjgour Hoshab and Kalat roads should also be included in the resolution.
PPP parliamentary leader Sadiq Umrani opposed the resolution and said that project of Panjgour- Hoshab Road was with National Highway Authority while 80 percent construction work of these roads were with the companies of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) parliamentary leader Jaffar Khan Mandokhel who was one of the mover of resolution.
Mir Sadiq Umrani and Mir Zahoor Hussain Khan Khosa exchanged objectionable remarks against each other over the resolution. However, Speaker did not allow them for continuing sarcastic remarks against each other and gave ruling for expunging their objectionable remarks.
Asad Baloch did not agree with the proposal of speaker and pressed for voting on resolution.
Deferring the resolution Speaker said that more discussion would be made on the resolution in the presence of Chief Minister in next sitting of house.
Earlier, responding to a question of Agha Irfan Karim, Home Minister Mir Zafarullah Zehri said that Rs around 190 million had been paid to Frontier Corps (FC) for performing duties to maintain law and order situation and added million of rupees were outstanding under this head.
Home Minister said that over 14 hundred prohibited and non-prohibited weapons including 380 Kalashnikovs were sold from Government’s Fire Arms Bureau (FAB)
