Save the Children delegation meets CM Raisani

QUETTA: Preparing children to face future challenges is prime responsibility of teachers and a trained and able teacher is play basic role for better education and building society.

These views were expressed by Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani while speaking with a delegation of Save the Children Holland led by Programme Manager Stan Klinkan Barg here Wednesdy.

Country Director Save the Children Muhammad H Qazilbagh and Mohtarma Bushra Zulfiqar while provincial minister for education Tahir Mahmood Khan was also present

Chief Minister said that Government of Holland has played important role in the welfare and social uplift of Balochistan in the past and several projects were implemented for this purpose. He expressed the hope that proposed programme would play important role in promotion of education and improving performance of teachers and students. He said government was taking steps for improving working of teachers.

Members of delegation apprised the Chief Minister that during the coming 5 years a basic change would be brought about hundreds of primary schools in the province under the proposed project and teachers would be imparted training in view of present day requirements so that they could educate students in friendly and pleasant atmosphere.

Provincial education minister told that Save the Children and provincial Education Department would work in a coordinated way on the said programme which would start in March this year.
