Traffic police implement courts’ decision about car parking

QUETTA: In the light of the court orders, vehicles are being parked parallel to the footpaths at major city roads of the metropolis.

Initially, the traffic authorities are implementing the order on a section of Jinnah Road where about half a dozen functionaries are monitoring and directing the parking.

“The traffic authorities would follow and implement the decision of the court in letter and spirit and would expand the new parking system to other major roads also” SSP Traffic Faqir Hussein said adding that efforts were afoot to resolve the traffic issue of the provincial capital.

It is worth mentioning that the Balochistan High Court directed the traffic authorities to ensure parallel parking instead of diagonal parking of vehicles at Jinnah road and other major roads of the city in order to create maximum space for traffic.
