VBMP announces to lay siege of Governor House and CM Secretariat
QUETTA, Jan 11: Voice For Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) while calling off its hunger strike camp has announced laying the siege of Governor House and Chief Minister’s Secretariat and a long march towards Islamabad from February 10th aiming at to press government for the recovery of missing persons.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, VBMP Convener Nasrullah Baloch flanked by relatives of missing persons said that a large number of relatives of missing persons had participated the hunger strike camp that was established outside Quetta Press Club.
Rejecting the claims of government he said that government was repeatedly deceiving the relatives of missing persons and not taking practical steps for their recovery. “Hollow claims of the government are tantamount to rubbing salt on the wounds of Baloch people”, he added.
He said that they had gathered information of 1500 missing persons who had been allegedly whisked away by government agencies but so far non of them had been neither recovered nor released by the government authorities.
He alleged that the rulers were misleading the world in the name of Balochistan Package but no practical steps were being taken for the recovery of missing persons.
VBMP President regretted and alleged that judiciary was also not playing its due role for the immediate recovery of missing persons adding that alleged excesses had been further increased against Baloch people during the so-called democratic government.
He announced that they would set up a hunger strike camp outside Karachi Press Club on January 20th while strike camps would also be established in different districts of Balochistan including Sibi, Mastung, Khuzdar, Nushki, Kalat and Makran.
He said that on February 10th Baloch women and children would lay the siege of Governor’s House and Chief Minister Secretariat and on the same day they would start a long march towards Islamabad.
