Policeman killed,2 others injured in Quetta blast

QUETTA: A Policeman was killed and two others, including a passer-by, sustained injuries in roadside blast damaging a police van here on Friday morning.

According to police sources, an explosive material was planted on the corner of Road close to Kili Ibrahimzai where two police personnel were on their routine duty.

A policeman identified as Jahanzeb, died on the spot, another police man Zafar Ali and a passer-by Anwer Zaib received injuries. Police van and a Rickshaw were damaged and glass panels of nearby houses were broken due to hug intensity of blast.

Police and Bomb Disposal Squad reached on the spot soon after the blast and cordon-off the area. Deceased and injures were shifted to the Bolan Medical Complex where both the victims are said to be in critical condition, hospital sources told Balochistan Express.

According to initial investigation, explosive material used in the blast were home made. No organization has claimed the responsibility till filling this news.
