Rocket fired in Quetta
QUETTA: Unidentified people fired a rocket in provincial capital that landed at Fatima Jinnah Road while police foiled a bid of terrorism in Jaffarabad district on Sunday.
In the first incident, a rocket fired by unidentified people from unknown location landed at Fatima Jinnah Road of Quetta near Bugti house. The rocket hit a medical store but luckily did not explode. The bomb disposal squad was called in which defused the rocket.
In second incident, police foiled a terrorism bid by defusing a bomb planted on a cycle in Jaffarabad.
Unidentified people had planted explosive material on a cycle, which was parked within the jurisdiction of Jihani police station. People of the area informed the police after finding a suspicious cycle. Police reached the site and with the help of bomb disposal squad defused explosive device.
Police have register separate cases of both incident against unknown persons and started investigation in this regard.
