Transporters to observe wheel jam, shutter down on Feb 11
QUETTA: Transporters have announced to observe wheel jam and shutter down strike on February 11.
The announcement was made by President Balochistan Sindh Truck Trailers and Goods Owners Association Noor Ahmad Kakar and Muhammad Ismail Hasni at a Press conference here Thursday.
They said wheel Jam and shutter down would be observed harassment and loot by Customs, Excise, Coast guards, violence against drivers along Coastal Highway and RCD highway. They said wheel jam would be in phases. Under the first phase wheel Jam would be observed in Kalat and Mekran Divisions and Quetta-Karachi section o f RCD highway and Coastal highway would be blocked by parking vehicles. Under the second phase, Quetta-Chaman and Quetta-Zhob sections would be closed while Sibi section would be locked under the third phase.
They said still our demands were not met then we would give call of wheel jam all over Balochistan.
They said the day government announced Aghaz e Huqooq Balochistan, Customs, Excise, Coast Guards have started looting spree. Prime Minister announced to remove all check posts of Coast Guards form all the highways in the province yet illegal check posts exist everywhere.
They called for allocation of funds afresh for Bela-Awaran-Turbat road and inquiry should be constituted into use of substandard material in building roads and bridges by NHA.
