13 injured in PB-25 polling violence

JAFFARABAD: At least 13 people were injured in clashes that took place during polling for PB-25 Jaffarabad seat on Wednesday.

The Polling that started at 8am was allegedly disrupted at Juma Khan polling and Noorpur polling booths by the supporters of the PPP candidate Nasir Khan Jamali and an Independent candidate Attaullah Bulaidi.

The exchange of fire at Juma Khan polling station left as many as three supporters of rival groups injured, police sources said.

In another incident eight persons suffered injuries in the clash at Noorpur polling station of Tehsil Osta Mohammad.

The injured were rushed to the nearby hospitals and later law enforcement agencies personnel took the situation under control.
