3 gunned down in sectarian violence

QUETTA: At least three people were killed while three others sustained serious injuries when unknown armed men racked their vehicle with bullets here in Hazar Ganji area, outskirts of the provincial capital, APP reported.

According to DIG Operation Hamid Shakil, the armed men who were on a motorbike opened fire at a vehicle when it was passing through the area.

As a result, three people identified as Ghulam Raza, Khan Muhammad and Muhammad Ali died on the spot while three others including Asmatullah and Muhammad Yusuf sustained serious injuries and were admitted to hospital.

The assailants fled from the scene soon after the incident.

Local police cordoned off the area and started investigation.

Online reports: Protestors blocked roads in protest against the killing of three persons in Killi Sardar Karez area of Quetta and demanded immediate arrest of killers.

The residents of Hazara Town blocked the main road outside Bolan Medical Complex Hospital in protest over the killing of three persons.

Unknown gunmen killed three persons and injured one in Killi Sardar Karez on Saturday morning.

The protestors chanted full-throated slogans against the Government and demanded immediate arrest of the killers. They lamented that government has failed to protect the lives of innocent people.

They peacefully dispersed after recording their protest against the incident.
