APCA to hold long march to wards Islamabad
QUETTA: To register their protest against the government’s failure to accept their charter of demand, the Balochistan chapter of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) has announced a long march towards Islamabad from April 24.
Addressing a news conference on Sunday, APCA provincial President Dad Muhammad Baloch said previous provincial and federal governments had failed in redressing their problems, adding that the incumbent government though accepted APCA’s charter of demands but no practical steps had been taken so far for its implementation.
He said the alarming hike in the prices of daily use items, fuel, electricity and gas the low salaried employees were unable to feed their children and compelled to commit suicide.
Dad Muhammad Baloch said inflation had increased by 300 per cent but only 15 per cent raise was made in their salaries, which was nothing more than a peanut.
He said the APCA members from Balochistan would start the long march from Quetta on April 24, which would be joined by their colleagues from Sindh and Punjab.
He said the participants of long march would also hold a sit-in outside the Parliament House on April 28.
