BHC seeks report on Quetta slaughter houses
QUETTA: Balochistan High Court on Tuesday directed the EDO Health Quetta to submit a detailed report on measures taken to ensure that the slaughter houses in the city were operating in a clean and hygienic manner.
These orders were issued by a division bench of Balochistan High Court which consisted of Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Mr. Justice Qazi Faez Essa and Justice Syeda Tahira Safdar while hearing the petition filed by one Talat Waheed.
Taking note of the Qesco chief’s not attending a meeting with the Commissioner Quetta and instead sending a person who did not have the authority to remove electricity pylons blocking roads, the court directed the Chief Executive Officer Qesco to appear in person and explain if he fails to attend the matter expeditiously by the next date of hearing.
Presenting photographs in the court, the petitioner stated that the traffic police had taken no action against the vehicles which were parked along the National Highway while the Bus Adda was lying completely vacant in Kuchlak.
Superintendent Police undertook before the court that he will implement proper traffic regime in Kuchlak.
The court also directed the Zarghoon Town authorities to ensure proper maintenance of newly planted trees and take strict action against those who resort to wall chalking.
