BLA guns down school principal

QUETTA: The principal of Tameer-e-Noh Public School and a former c
hairman of Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Fazal Bari, was shot dead in Quetta on Monday. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) accepted responsibility for his killing.
According to the details, Bari, a noted educationist, was on his way to Tameer-e-Noh Public School on the Eastern Bypass when unidentified persons riding a motorcycle opened fire on him. The principal died on the spot while his driver received serious injuries.
Students of Tameer-e-Noh School, which is considered as one of the best schools in Balochistan, protested against the killing in front of the Governor House and the Chief Minister House. They chanted slogans against the government. In response, the police used tear gases against the students which left many students unconscious.
The administration of Tameer-e-Noh School has decided to close the school for three days to mourn the killing of its principal.
Meerak Baloch, a spokesman of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), accepted responsibility for the killing of Fazal Bari saying that the slain educationist had been involved in distorting the Baloch history among his students.
