Coalition partners like falcons: Raisani

QUETTA: Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Khan Raisani has said that the coalition government in Balochistan was like a group of falcons and needs hard work to keep them united.

He gave these remarks while responding to the point of order of MPA Dr. Fauzia Nazir Marri during the session of Balochistan Assembly here Thursday.

Earlier, speaking on a point of order member of the assembly Dr. Fauzia Marri alleged that more than 70 % of billions of rupees approved for development of district Kohlu were being spent in a single Tehsil.

She said that since the package was announced for the whole district, she took up the matter of injudicious spending with the CM who appointed her member of the steering committee overseeing the projects.

She resented over removal of her name from the list of the committee and appealed to the Prime Minister to intervene on the issue instituting an investigation by the PM Investigation Team.

Earlier, Balochistan Minister for WASA Mir Habibur Rehman Muhammad Hasni felicitated Provincial Minister Zmarak Khan for his acquittal in an anti corruption case and said that the decision would strengthen peoples trust in the judiciary.

As a rare move, a resolution submitted by Engineer Basant Lal Gulshan, Jaffar George and J Perkash regarding right of Dual Vote for minorities was withdrawn after the CM asserted that the Resolution would be brought in the House after review in the Cabinet.

Earlier, the session of the assembly started some 40 minutes late with Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly Syed Matillah Agha in chair.
