Professor’s killing a loss to education: CM Raisani
QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Khan Raisani has strongly condemned the killing of senior professor Fazal Bari and termed it an irreparable loss to the education of the province.
In a statement issued here he underlined the services rendered by the deceased and prayed for his soul.
In the meantime, police fired tear gas and baton charged hundreds of students of a private college who attempted to block roads during a protest demonstration held to condemn the killing of senior educationist Professor Fazal Bari here in Quetta Monday.
The protestors who numbered to several hundreds chanted slogans against elements involved in targeted killing especially of teachers in various parts of the province and demanded security for them.
They also attempted to force their entry into the Governor House and blocked main Zarghoon Road briefly.
Quetta police fired tear gas, baton charged and dispersed the violent protestors. No arrest was made.
It is worth mentioning that unknown armed men gunned down a senior professor and Principal of Tameer-i-Nau Public School at the gate of his school at Eastern Bypass Monday Morning.
