Raisani orders rehabilitation of flood victims

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani Tuesday directed relevant departments to take steps on war footing basis for rehabilitation of flood victims in district Nasirabad.

Soon after reaching Quetta from Islamabad where he held a high level meeting with Prime Minster Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and other higher authorities, CM Raisani directed Commissioner Nasirabad to take immediate measures for rehabilitation of people affected by flood caused by torrential rains in Tehsil Bhag and others areas of the district.

CM Balochistan sought protective measures on permanent basis against flood and calamity like situations caused by torrential rains in the area. He directed to evolve a comprehensive plan in this regard.

He noted the provincial government had sense its responsibility and taking all possible efforts to tackle calamity related issues in the province.

He ordered officials concerned to finalize report on damages caused by flood and torrential rains in Bhag and outskirts and submit to him as soon as possible.

It may be mentioned that dwellers of various villages in Tehsil Bhag and adjoining areas suffered huge losses due to flood and torrential rains. The CM Balochistan issued directives for their rehabilitation as the matter was brought in his notice.
