Target killings badly damaging Baloch interests: BA told
QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani speaking on point of order in the Assembly session here on Monday strongly condemned incidents of target killings and said elements involved in these heinous crimes were badly damaging the interests of Baloch people.
He said he strongly condemned target killing of former chairman Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) and Principal Tamir-i-Now School Professor Fazal Bari who was shot dead by unidentified assailants at the gate of his school today.
Nawab Raisani said that persons running a so-called movement for the rights of people of Balochistan hade been involved in target killing of teachers, doctors, engineers and innocent people, adding that such way they were not serving the Baloch people but badly damaging the interests. He maintained that due to target killings of teachers and others, many schools in the province had been closed while ongoing development works in many areas had been halted as no one is ready to go to these areas due to panic created by armed men. He condemned the people assassinating innocent people in the name of so called movement of rights terming them enemy of the Baloch people. He asked the house to offer Fateha for the departed soul of Professor Fazal Bari. On this occasion, Health Minister Aianullah Shams said that personnel of a law enforcement agency intercepted vehicle of Senior Minister Maulana Abdul Wasey carrying his siblings and brother, they asked them to get out of the vehicle and later, took the vehicle with them. He said in a meeting of Balochistan Cabinet chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari in Quetta, it was demanded that no check post of Frontier Corps should exist in rural and urban areas of Balochistan except on the border, adding the President Zardari had assured the provincial cabinet meet their demand in this regard.
Responding to his point of order, Chief Minister Raisani said that he condemned the LEA,s personnel action and misbehaving his family. He recalled that Aghaz-Haqooq-e-Balochistan Package contained the point that Frontier Corps Balochistan would work under the control of the provincial government. He said that Raza Rabbani who with other experts finalized the package had told him that the Package on Balochistan had recommendations including control of the provincial government on FC Balochistan. The CM lamented that FC was avoiding obeying orders of the provincial government,In a mood of anger,some other ministers and members also spoke on the occasion. The session of the Assembly was held with Speaker Aslam Bhootani in chair.
