Three people, including a student, target killed in Mastung
MASTUNG: At least three persons, including a student of Cadet College, were gunned down and another sustained bullet wounds when unknown assailants opened indiscriminate fire on their car on the way to Quetta from Mastung on the National highway near Pedangabad here on Wednesday.
According to sources, attackers were on motorcycle after they targeted the car and managed to vanish in thin air. The victims were identified as Mohammad Munir, a constructor, and Ali Ahmed, both of whom died on the spot. Two others, including a student Abu Hamza, and Shahid Kodus received multiple bullet wounds, the injured student succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
The bodies of slain and the injured were taken to Quetta hospital where he was reported to be in a critical condition. Police have registered a case against the unknown persons and started investigation into the matter.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has accepted responsibility for the killings. Police Officer District Mastung, Mohammad Murad Sajidi, while talking to the media, termed the incident as targeted killing.
Panic spread among the local residents and all business activities were suspended soon after the incident.
