Traders oppose removal of FC check posts
QUETTA: Anjuman-e-Tajran here Thursday opposed the demand of Balochistan Parliamentarians regarding the removal of Frontier Check posts in Balochistan.
In a statement, issued here on Thursday, the president Anjuman-e-Tajran Rahim Kakar along with other office bearers said that before the deployment of FC, tracks carrying goods along Quetta-Taftan, Mangochar and Bolan highway were robbed by some unknown dacoits.
“With presence of FC check post on said section of highways it has reduced the ratio of robbery there he said,” adding legislators instead of abolishing the check post should remove flaws they realize better for the Frontier Corps.
He however, hailed the resolutions tabled in Balochistan assembly for abolishing the custom check posts and decreasing the PIA fares. He also demanded of an approval to airlines other than PIA for international and national routes so that traders and passengers from Quetta could be facilitated in Balochistan.
