Bizenjo for action against Afghan refugees
KHUZDAR: Central Secretary General of the National Party, Mir Tahir Bizenjo, said that Police should launch a siege and search operation against 1.2 millions Afghan refuges living Balochistan involved in heinous crimes, instead of carrying siege and search operation in Sariab, suburb of Quetta against the political opponents of the Government seeking their national rights.
Addressing a news conference at Khuzdar Press Club on Friday, he said according to governmental security agencies, the Afghan refugees are involved in crimes against the humanity, crimes against the Pakistani state and people and responsible of destroying the economy, trade and business in Balochistan.
“On the one hand, people are suffering due to inflation, unemployment, power outage and law and order situation and on the other hand siege and search operations had been carried out against the political opponents of the Government, which is intolerable, and we strongly condemned the police action in outskirts of provincial Capital,” Bizenjo said adding that 0.8 million out of 1.2 million Afghan refuges are unregistered, they should be registered and keep them in refuges camp.
He claimed that refuges are responsible for increase in kidnapping for ransom, vehicle lifting incidents and other heinous crimes against the humanity taking place in Quetta city. Government attitude towards Balochistan is ruthless and search operations in Balochistan has become a tradition for every government, he said added “Illegal arrest of political workers and violation of homes sanctity used to be a routine matter in pervious government and the similar action has been taken in present democratic government.”
He said that Federal Government had never been cooperative with Balochistan and its approach was negative and brutal. The using of state army against Baloch people after every decade has become a practice, the NP leader added.
He stressed the need for a united front among the Baloch Nationalists to protect the Baloch Nation from ruthless attitude of state and its merciless action.
