Driver Killed in firing incident

QUETTA: A driver was killed allegedly by firing of security forces in Kuchlak area on Thursday.

According to police sources, security personnel had signaled a truck for search at Kuchlak area.  Instead of stopping vehicle, inmates of truck had opened fire on security forces. The security forces also retaliated the firing, that resulting in death of a person sitting in the truck. Name of deceased has been identified as Sadaruddin.

Police after completing legal formalities handed over the body to heirs and started further investigations.

Meanwhile, President Balochistan Traders Association Muhammad Rahim Kakar has strongly condemned the killing of truck driver and demanded for immediate inquiry into the incident. .

Addressing a Press conference, he alleged that truck driver was killed due to firing of personnel of Customs and Frontier Corps and now they in order to conceal their crime were distorting the fact. He demanded authorities concerned for immediate inquiry into the incident and transfer of Collector Customs. He also announced that Balochistan Trader Association will organize a protest rally on April 24, against the incident. Ends
