Four people, including JUI leader, killed in Naseerbad

QUETTA: Four persons, including the district Secretary General of Jamiat-i-Ulema Islam (JUI-Fazal) were shot dead and two others sustained injuries when unknown culprits opened indiscriminate fire at their vehicle in Tehsil Tambo of Naseerabad district on Friday.

According to police, Meta Khan, district secretary general of JUI –F, was on a drive along with his companions when unknown armed men riding two motorcycles opened indiscriminate fire at his vehicle near Moza Khushal in Tehsil Tambo.

As a result, Meta Khan and three others who were identified as Abdul Ghani, Yunus Jatak and Waheed Mastoi were killed the spot and two others suffered bullet wounds.

Perpetrators escaped from the crime scene. The bodies of deceased and the injured were rushed to Dera Murad Jamali District Hospital where their condition was reported to be critical.

Police have registered a case against known persons and started investigation into the matter.

Police official termed the incident as result of old tribal enmity.
