Governor entices lawyers to protest against government over lawlessness

QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi has expressed his deep

concern over the raising issue of kidnapping for ransom in Balochistan and asked the lawyers to commence a movement against the government as it failed to break up the chain of culprits involved in such heinous crimes.

Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi made these view while talking to group of Lawyers hailing from Balochistan Bar Association and Balochistan High Court Bar who called on him at Governor’s House Quetta.

He said that the administration had to play its due role to maintain the law and order situation in the province.

“Police is fully aware about criminals who are involved in such crimes like target killing, kidnapping for ransom but does not seem to take any sort of action against them, though their collogues are being targeted,” he said.

Governor also criticized the legislators and alleged that some of the influential people are providing shield to the criminals as they get freed soon after being arrested.

“We met with Governor seeking help for safe recovery of kidnapped Balochistan High Court’s senior lawyer Iftikhar-ul-Haq who was whisked away on 19 March,” President of Balochistan Bar Association Baaz Mohammad Kakr told The Baloch Hal.

He said Governor assured the lawyers that all steps would be taken for safe & immediate recovery of Iftikhar-ul-Haq.
