Institutions remain shut under ‘save energy’ decision

QUETTA: All the government offices, Banks, educational institutions including Schools, Colleges and Universities remained close under government decision to save energy in Balochistan Saturday.

High Court of Balochistan and subordinate Courts as well as post offices remained opened and worked normally.

According to a notification issued by Balochistan Government yesterday in the light of federal government decision to observe 2 holidays a week, all the government offices, civil secretariat, Banks remained close in the province today. There was thin traffic on the roads.

Notification about two holidays a week in the educational institutions was issued late at night yesterday. It caused uncertainty among the students teachers. Some students went to their schools where they came to know about weekly off on Saturday.

University of Balochistan remained close today. However BA/B Sc supplementary examination 2009 and B Ed annual examination 2009 were held according to schedule.

Balochistan High Court and subordinate Courts remained open and worked normally. -PPI
