MQM condemns police torture on journalist

GANDAKHA: Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) Oasta Muhammad unit leaders Iftikhar Baloch, Aftab Lashari and Fatah Ali Saturday strongly condemned police torture on a bureau chief of a private TV channel in Quetta.

According to a statement issued here, they said that they condemned police torture on Mustafa Tareen, a bureau chief of a private TV channel.

They maintained that police should not be allowed to victimize journalists and innocent citizens.

They urged the higher authorities to take notice of the incident besides taking departmental action against the police personnel. -
