Raisani meets Canadian oil company CEO

QUETTA, April 1: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani Thursday called on chairman and chief executive officer of State Oil Company Canada Lutfur Rehman Khan and discussed exploration of natural resources in Balochistan.

Nawab Raisani viewed that Balochistan is rich with natural resources including oil, gas, gold, silver, copper, gold and other valuable mines and minerals. He maintained that Pakistan economy might boost if more steps regarding exploration in mines and minerals are taken in Balochistan. He added the federal and provincial governments were working on plan to utilize natural resources for the development of the country and nation.

During the meeting, delegation of the Canadian company expressed their interest to launch mines and mineral related exploration work in Balochistan and sought the provincial government’s collaboration in this regard. The CM Balochistan assured them of his all out cooperation in this connection.

Nawab Raisani told the Canadian company officials that Pasni, a town of Balochistan had been declared as Oil City and about 0.1 million acres of land had been allocated in this area for oil business and export. He added that oil refineries would be established at this allocated land.

The delegation informed the CM that through oil related project which would be launched at Pasni, about 2000 men would get jobs.
