Raisani vows to strike against criminals

ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani has vowed to tighten noose around anti-social and criminal elements and no leniency would be tolerated in this regard.

He warned that those involved in target killings, kidnappings for ransom and other heinous crimes would not go scot-free and no stones will be left unturned safeguarding the interest of the people.

Nawab Aslam Raisani in an exclusive chat with “Online” here Friday said Balochistan belonged to all tribes and groups and therefore everyone had to play his role ensuring durable peace in the province.

The Chief Minister in a candid way warned certain political parties to shun double standards and stop abetting the criminal elements only to gain some political mileage. He maintained that no one would be allowed to disturb peace and harmony of Quetta city, which is the provincial capital.

He said that our efforts and our actions must not replicate those of the past dictators rather, he added, we must uphold the aspirations of the common man and utilize our energy and capabilities for their benefit.

Responding to the 18th Constitutional Amendment Nawab Raisani termed it an epoch-making decision strengthening the democratic system in Pakistan. “Sooner the people would enjoy the fruits of democracy where they would be the real masters of their resources,” Nawab Raisani maintained.

The Chief Minister called upon all the peace and democratic-loving people and political parties in Balochistan to come forward and collectively fight the menace of sectarianism, hatred and disunity among various ethnic and religious entities that had hitherto been living together with complete harmony and brotherhood.

Nawab Raisani expressed his resolve to crackdown the anti-social and criminal elements without showing any flexibility or to let compromises to hold sway. The Chief Minister also directed the administration and police authorities to deal the criminals with iron hand without bowing down before any external or political pressures, he concluded. –Online
