Three killed, three injured in Quetta violence

QUETTA: Three persons were killed and 3 others sustained injuries in three separate incidents of firing in provincial capital on Wednesday.

In the first incident, unidentified armed men who were ridding a motorcycle, opened indiscriminate fire at a vehicle near Hazar Ganji area in the outskirt of Quetta city.

As result, three persons died on the spot and three others sustained bullet wounds and perpetrators fled from the scene after committing crime.

The bodies of deceased and the injured were rushed to Sandeman Hospital Quetta where the injured were stated to be in critical condition.

The slain citizens were identified as Mohammad Ashraf, Mohammad Murad and Mohammed Omar.

Police termed the incident as a case of personal enmity.

A case has been registered in Shaalkot Police Station and further investigation is underway.

In another incident, unknown assailants gunned down a person identified as Bilal Ahmed on Shiek Umar Road. The deceased received a single bullet on his head which caused his dead on the spot.

A Sub Inspector of Police identified as Mullah Bakhsh was attacked on Kambrani Road and received multiple bullet injuries. The dead body was taken to Bolan Medical Complex for medical treatment where his condition is said to be critical.

Attackers managed to vanish in thin air.

Both incidents are said to be a case of targeted killing, police official said.
