132 kv tower blown up in Quetta

QUETTA: Unknown persons blew up 132 KV Quetta Industrial and Sariab Mastung Transmission Line double circuit on Friday afternoon which disrupted the supply of power form Industrial Mastung to Sariab Industrial Lines.

However, authorities at Quetta Electricity Supply Compnay  (QESCO) restored the supply form alternate sources with immediate effect.

A QESCO Spokesman said  due to closure of these lines a shortage of 100 mw had been caused. The spokesman said that after security clearance, repair of the affected tower would start.

HABIBULLAH COASTAL POWER HOUSE: A shortage of 35-40 mw would be caused due to closure of Habibullah Coastal Power House for necessary and immediate repair from June 1 to 15.

Spokesman said that this shortage would be met by partial load shedding.
