2-year girl dies of Polio

DALBANDIN: An Afghan refugee girl died of Polio in Sub Tehsil Chagai adjacent to Pak-Afghan border.

Executive District Officer Health Dr Zahir Shah Marri told Correspondents here Friday that Talha Gul had shifted to Sub Tehsil Chagai from Afghanistan along with his family. His 2-year daughter was suffering from Polio. She died after being shifted to the hospital in Sub Tehsil Chagai.

EDO Health said that the parents of the girl belonged to Dasht Goran Sub Tehsil Chagai.

It is added here that on March 27, a five-month infant, Muhammad Yusuf, had also suffered from Polio virus. Earlier in October 2001, a 3-year boy was affected by Polio in Killi Noor Muhammad Dalbandin.
